Today, outside of some great panels, we also took a visit to the ScreenBurn Gaming Fest, and it was somewhat underwhealming. There were several booths showing off gaming computers – Dell, HP, AlienWare. Several other booths had first-person shoters running – gaming competitions, beat the gaming babes, etc. There wasn’t really anything breakthrough though. Last year there was a cool booth with a Nintendo DS guitar game. Even though that was only one innovative booth from last year, it seemed like there was even less this year. It was kind of a disappointment unless you had time to sit and play FPS games.
Later tonight we checked out the Frog Design gathering. It was held at an interesting building, The Mexican American Cultural Center. There was good music, fire dancer, and free ice cream… what isn’t to like?
