It takes conference data out to microformats<br \/>\naggregates reviews etc.<\/p>\n<p>One can also use to bring id&#8217;s for social networks profile info<\/p>\n<p>All the current microformats have been created by an open community &#8211; they don&#8217;t end up with 1000&#8217;s because much research is done (by individual and community) when created a new format. The process for submitting on the web is necessary to see that something doesn&#8217;t already exist somewhere else or that it is needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Questions<\/strong><br \/>\nAre there any microformats searches?<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/kitchen.technorati.com\/\">http:\/\/kitchen.technorati.com<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.edgio.com\">http;\/\/www.edgio.com<\/a> (search &amp; list\/host, hlist)<br \/>\nAlexa is also caching hcard information found on sites<\/p>\n<p>What about using microformats on a mobile device?<br \/>\nTreo handles via &#8220;add to addressbook&#8221;<br \/>\nTails (plugin) sends via bluetooth<\/p>\n<p>Accessibility issues with Microformats? Licensing?<br \/>\nthere are some accessibility issues &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/microformats.org\/wiki\/accessibility\">more info here<\/a><br \/>\nworking on a rellicense format (underway)<\/p>\n<p>OpenID vs. hcard?<br \/>\nOpenID is more to claim a URL, hcard is more for profile info.
