Revenge of the Blogosphere<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hasbro Mattel vs. Scrabulous &#8211; the product they replaced it with was\/is horrible<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/skittles.com\">Skittles<\/a> Twitter Campaign &#8211; homepage redirect to twitter\/flickr\/youtube, inappropriate comments posted. Site stolen from Modernista.<\/li>\n<li>KFC Fired Blogger &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kfcnation.com\/\">kfcnation<\/a>, has a game to kill the chicken. Blogger fired for sexual issues then documented on KFC property.*<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Joe the Plumber&#8221; Signs &#8211; make your own joe the plumber sign. &#8220;I am &#8220;so horny for&#8221; the &#8220;nude body of mccain&#8221; don&#8217;t tax me for working hard. Some of the sign suggestions were inappropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0 Revenge of the Blogosphere II<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Belkin &#8211; Mike Bayer at Belkin <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crunchgear.com\/2009\/01\/17\/belkin-paying-65-cents-for-good-reviews-on-newegg-and-amazon\/\">went to Amazon Turk and posted an offer<\/a> to pay 65 cents to positively review Belkin products. &#8220;Perfect storm of sleaze and stupidity&#8221;*<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/apps\/application.php?id=33988778285\">Whopper Sacrifice in Facebook<\/a> &#8211; ditch your facebook friends to get a free whopper. People got ditched for a hamburger.<\/li>\n<li>Motorola Krave on Gadget Blogs &#8211; paid people to go to gadget blogs and astroturf &#8211; but they are transparent about it.<\/li>\n<li>Rebuild the Party &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/jalopnik.com\/5083889\/how-to-rebuild-the-republican-party-truck-nutz-for-all\">Truck Nutz for all<\/a>! Republican suggestion (digg-like) site for how to rebuild the party. There was no moderator for the suggestions.<\/li>\n<li>Knocked Out of Pizza Place &#8211; Pizza Hut sponsored video for people to order pizza<\/li>\n<li>delivered at another pizza place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* Round Winners<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grand Prize Winner<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Belkin fake reviews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Questions:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Good social media marketing out there?<br \/>\nBoost Mobile<br \/>\nDigg and Kevin Rose<br \/>\nPeople who aren&#8217;t doing campaigns, but just using it well (@comcastcares)<br \/>\nMy Starbucks Idea, suggestions and voting<\/p>\n<p>How do you determine is something sucks?<br \/>\nPeople who pollute, or willfully act dumb or sleazy<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If people are talking about it, it works&#8221; is not always true.<\/p>\n<p>You have to advertise because your product is bad &#8211; you should shoot for your product to be your ad, and your customers should advertise your product because they like it.<\/p>\n<p>Ads are a necessary evil, in some cases social chatter works, for some it doesn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday, March 14th at 05:00 PM Presenters: Henry Copeland &#8211; Blogads.com Zadi Diaz &#8211; EPIC FU Jeff Jarvis &#8211; What Would Google Do?
